The Roof
Wherever our way takes us, we will look for a roof to call home, to guard another small or big piece of our lives. We don’t abandon our home; it always comes back, helping us to remind ourselves despite the changing nature of our existence. The Restlessness put us in front of difficult choices. The Roof show the itinerary, the endless way of a woman far from home. The woman shows some clues of her identity. We do not know her name neither where she is. Her face,despite the signs of the years,retains her beauty. She quietly shows us her moods; letting opened any interpretation of her past or her future. Her nature pushes her to migrate, but she’s eager of building her own roof. -
Mother
Yalda (the longest night of the year) is an Iranian name, she is the fruit of a mixed marriage between an Iranian father and mother half Chinese half Cuban, now days among the many familiar forms of migration is growing the "blended family," a new system of relationships in the family and outside the family , as comparing two cultures and simultaneously produces a new culture. -
We… Others
Personality is a product of genetics and environment. Man borne with defined genetic characteristics, and then lives in surrounding environment and this environment have a great role in building the personality. If we remove the environment that define people, we ask ourselves who they are? “We... others” is an installation consisting of different media where photography, video, music and stage design create an immersive environment that involves the spectator and communicates directly with him. -
Imbalance
Imbalance is the portrait of a young woman curled up on a Persian carpet and covered by a dress embroidered with gaudy, the colors of luxurious fabrics that envelop the figures make it floating, weightless, the fetal position draw her earthly vulnerability. -
Sufi Dance
Sufi is a metaphor for a bride in its intimacy. Far away from prying eyes, in silence, creates, with her white dress, a circular movement that is reminiscent of the sufi dance. The movement seems to turn women into a rare pearl that, elegantly resting in its large shell, tries, through the circularity of the gesture, to be freed by the protective shell. She is a symbol, a talking poetry, and her dance the eternal allows to go beyond. -
Identity
The daily habit of put on or take off the scarf is the way to show a clue or symbol, which represents the bridge between East and West. Daniela with red scarf, the girls in the photo, that is exactly in this passage, the deformation gives to the viewer's eyes a way to observe an Eastern woman.
